'Twas the Night Before School
'Twas the night before school started when all through the town
The parents were cheering
It was a riotous sound
By eight the kids were washed
and tucked into bed
When memories of homework
Filled them with dread
New pencils, new folders, new
notebooks, too
New teachers, new friends-their
anxiety grew
The parents just giggled when they
learned of this fright
And shouted upstairs-
GO TO BED-IT'S A SCHOOL NIGHT!
(Author: Unknown)
Tomorrow is the big day and we cannot wait to see you all in the morning!
Get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and we will see you at 8:25!

Class Bears
These are our class bears (and Mrs. Pacciano's daughter, Emily)! There is a class bear for the boys and a class bear for the girls to take home. The students will be naming them the first week of school and then they will be off visiting your families. Every student will get a chance to take the bear home. Please take good care of our class bears and make sure ALL of their belongings are put back in their backpacks. There will also be a journal for the students to write in. The students will write about the adventure they had the night and/or week they get the bear. Feel free to put pictures in or even draw pictures of the special time spent with the bear. But please remember to return the class bears THE NEXT SCHOOL DAY, so another boy and girl can have a chance to have their adventure as well. Very soon the class bears may be coming home with you to hang out for the night!
